BRICE Roland (1911-1989)
Sculptor-ceramist, former student of Fernand Léger, he became his official ceramist from 1949. In his Biot workshop, he worked on his own creations, which bear the imprint of the painter – primary colors, black lines, figures with rounded curves… Brice also focused on free forms and combined the useful and the beautiful in his vases, dishes, and plates. He was a fervent supporter of art in the city and of polychromy, a vital dimension for human beings.
