BRICE Roland (1911-1989)
Sculptor-ceramist, former student of Fernand Léger, he became his official ceramist from 1949. In his studio in Biot, he worked on his own creations where we find the painter's mark - primary colors, black line, characters with rounded curves... Brice also attached himself to free forms and combined the useful and the beautiful through his vases, dishes and plates. He was a fervent supporter of art in the city and of polychromy, a vital dimension for human beings.
