Double signature engraved Jean Marais at the bottom of the decoration and on the back.
Jean Marais (1913-1998)
Actor, director, writer, Jean Maraisse retired to the Alpes-Maritimes in the 1970s, first to Cabris where he spent fifteen years (a boulevard in the town near the house he lived in bears his name) then in Vallauris where he practiced pottery, sculpture and theatre. He opened a store there and even an art gallery thanks to a couple of potter friends.
