CATTEAU Charles (1880-1966)

Franco-Belgian ceramist, Charles Catteau joined in 1906 the Boch-Keramis company where he became the director of the workshop decoration. Influenced by the great artistic trends of the Art Deco period (African, Japanese, Cubism styles) he will get international recognition to the Decorative Arts Exhibition of 1925 in Paris. His stoneware vases with stylized motifs of fauna and flora are very famous.
