Very beautiful pitcher from the Amphora factory, in earthenware, decorated with two medallions, one larger than the other, each representing the faces of a woman, sky blue, dark blue, pink, white and brown cloisonné enamels on a background grainy beige in color. The handle, the beak and the outline of the neck and the foot are enamelled midnight blue. Two friezes of geometric patterns are enamelled in sky blue.

Signature: stamp Royal Amphora, Czechoslovakia, numbered: 33151 under the base and an original label of the factory on the body of the pitcher.

DURING THE JUGENDSTIL PERIOD, THE PRODUCTION OF CERAMICS IS VERY IMPORTANT IN AUSTRIA AND MORE PARTICULARLY IN NORTH OF BOHEMIA, IN THE REGION OF TEPLICE. THIS REGION IS BORDER WITH SAXIA, NOT FAR FROM DRESDE AND MEISSEN, UPPER PORK GERMAN. BECOMING CZECHOSLOVAK IN 1918 AND BELONGING TO THE SOUTHERN, IT WAS ANNEXED BY NAZI GERMANY IN 1938 UNTIL 1945 WE CANNOT NAME ALL THE CERAMIC MANUFACTURES THAT WORKED IN THIS AREA, ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT MANUFACTURES IS AMPHORA.
