ORREFORS ( Sweden)
The Orrefors Glasbruk was founded in 1898 and began making glass bottles. Then from 1920s, designers developed the "Graal technique", which was based on the cameo process and inspired by works of Emile Gallé. Sven Palmqvist, entered in 1928, invents in 1954 the technique "Kraka" which allows to create a new decoration constituted by bubbles locked into a net, a characteristic of this period. Orrefors was the major swedish company to dominate art glass in the 1950s.
