Roland Brice (1911-1989), sculptor and ceramist, a former student of Fernand Léger, became his official ceramist in 1949. In his Biot workshop, he worked on his own creations, which bear the imprint of the painter – primary colors, black lines, figures with rounded curves… Brice also focused on free forms and combined utility and beauty in his vases, dishes, and plates. He was a fervent advocate of art in the city and of polychromy, a vital dimension for humankind.
