Jean de LESPINASSE (1896- 1979)
Resistant on the Côte d'AzurCôte d'Azur during WWII, Jean de Lespinasse and his wife foundedwife SOCFRA, which began producing ceramics in the late1940s in Nice. Their path then crossed that of Roger Capron and his wife JacotteJacotte, the Madoura workshops, Robert Picault and GeorgesTardieu. He and his wife have stores in Saint-Paul de Vence,Sainte Maxime and Vallauris. All the pieces come from his workshop in which ceased operations on his death in 1979. He signs his pieces "Jdl". pieces signed by the Jean de Lespinasse workshop are generally largeand highly structured.
