FAIENCERIES DE LONGWY
Created in 1798 in Lorraine, famous since the First Empire, the Faïencerie belongs 'Huart for 140 years. In 1872, the Italian Amédée de Caranza joined the factory and produced cloisonné enamels on earthenware. This is the birth of the famous Emaux de Longwy, devoted to the Universal Exhibition of 1878. In the 1920s, Art Deco occupied a prominent place there, culminating in the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1925.
