Jean Lurçat (1892-1966)
The master of contemporary tapestry, turned to ceramics in the early 50s. He regularly stays at the pottery workshop Sant Vicens (Perpignan, France), where he decorates dishes, vases, pitchers and others everyday objects. His work as a ceramist is also marked by monumental creations, such as that which decorates the radio buiding in Strasbourg.
