About...

Bitossi ceramiche
This pottery was born in the early 1900s in a tradition of ceramic production that has existed in Montelupo Fiorentino since 1500. Guido Bitossi, in 1921, heir to the tradition of ceramics, established the "Manifattura Maioliche Artistiche" with typical local craftsmanship . The traditional production has been renewed thanks to the artistic direction of Aldo Londi, a creative man with an innate aesthetic sense, attentive to the evolution of taste. The meeting with the architect Ettore Sottsass was decisive for a collaboration in close contact with Londi for many years. Bitossi Ceramiche, still located in the place of origin, continuously collaborates with important designers, fascinated by the historical value of the company and the know-how of the productions, who create unique collections.
