AMPHORA
DURING PERIOD JUGENDSTIL, THE PRODUCTION OF CERAMIC IS VERY IMPORTANT IN AUSTRIA AND MORE PARTICULARLY IN the NORTH OF THE BOHEMIA, IN THE REGION OF TEPLICE. AMPHORA WAS CREATED IN 1892 BY THREE FRIENDS, REISSNER, STELLMACHER AND KESSEL. AT the BEGINNING, THE COMPANY WAS CALLED RSTK. AFTER THE DEPARTURE OF STELLMACHER in 1905, THE FACTORY TAKEN THE NAME OF AMPHORA.NUMEROUS ARTISTS DREW MODELS FOR THE BRAND. WE CAN QUOTE PAUL DACHSEL (TOWARDS 1880-?) AND ALSO THE SCULPTOR OTTO JARL (1856-1915 ) WHO COLLABORATED MORE OFTEN WITH THE PORCELAIN FACTORY OF MEISSEN.
