Pendant lamp "Flower pot" design Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen

This model of pendant lamp "flowerpot" is a must of the Scandinavian design, the first series was realized by the designer Verner Panton and edited by Louis Poulsen in the years 60/70. Consisting of two reversed saucers in white enamelled metal.

Recent edition in perfect working order.

Dimensions: diameter 20cm, h 16 cm, cable length 120 cm. Works with an E27 screw bulb.

About...

Verner Panton
Born in 1926 in Gamtofte, Denmark, attended technical school in Odense and then studied architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.
From 1950 to 1952 he was employed in Arne Jacobsen's architectural practice and founded his own studio of architecture and design in 1955. His furniture based on geometric shapes, manufactured by the company "Plus-linje" earned him for the first time public attention. In the following years, he created many seats and lighting.
He died in 1998 in Copenhagen.
