Professor in Decorative arts school of Paris, Capron is interested at first in the drawing. He discovers the ceramic's work to Vallauris before Picasso, and creates the Callis workshop with Robert Picault. He creates his own workshop in 1952 and sells his collections all over the world, specially in United States to the department store Saks Fifth Avenue. He receives rewards in numerous international exhibitions in Milan, Brussels, Cannes... From 1963, he gives up gradually the pieces of shape for ornamental stone floors used in architecture: wall panels, buildings halls, stores. From the 80s, he turns to the unique pieces and sculptures in Raku.
