The glass factory of Nancy was created in 1878 by Jean Daum. His sons Auguste and Antonin join him and start the artistic creation. Daum create Art nouveau style pieces and welcome great artists as Gruber, Bergé, Walter and his famous molten glass.  Daum brothers participate with Emile Gallé in the foundation of the School of Nancy ( 1901 ). In the 20s the glass factory turns to the Art deco style. After the Second World War, Paul Daum gives a new orientation to the production with more restrained shapes where the transparent crystal takes a dominating place. Today, the collections of Daum created by the greatest contemporary designers have an international fame.
