Factory of Couleuvre
Created in 1789 by the Marquis of Lévis, André de Sinéty, on the eve of the French Revolution, Couleuvre is an exceptional porcelain factory with unique know-how characterized by strong reliefs and the requirement of color . Thanks to its secular know-how, the factory has crossed the ages and styles by reinventing itself, making it the only one of the six porcelain factories existing in Bourbonnais in the 19th century. From 1930, the artistic director Albert Laurent calls on more contemporary artists such as Jean Cocteau who entrusts him with 34 original drawings.
