Michel Barbier (1933-2012)
Painter and decorator, he worked mainly for Jean Derval and Gustave Reynaud at the "Le Murier" pottery in Vallauris. His decorations for this workshop are recognizable by their beige-grey background, a design of stylized flowers, or extraordinary animals, and the dull blue or copper red enamels. His current personal production is signed with a bird.
