Art deco table lamp in earthenware, lampstand designed by Charles Catteau for Boch Frères (Belgium), decoration of stylized flowers yellow and ochre coloured on a cracked white background. Sold with a new lampshade ivory coloured. In perfect working order.

CATTEAU Charles (1880-1966)

Franco-Belgian ceramist, he joined in 1906 the Boch-Keramis company where he became the director of the shop decoration. Influenced by the great currents of the time (African, Japanese, Cubism ...) he will get international recognition to the Decorative Arts Exhibition of 1925 in Paris. His stoneware vases with stylized motifs of fauna and flora are very famous.
