Jacques Adnet Art Deco candelstick

Candlestick 30/40s, believed to be by Jacques Adnet, with two branches in metal chrome-plated, three crystal sheets and two "candles" in white opaline. Wiring of origin, in working order. A small lack on one of the patches and some pits on the metal.

ADNET Jacques ( 1900-1984 )

Architect and designer, trained to the School of Fine Arts, he works with Jean, his twin brother, under a common signature. The style of its furniture is influenced by the cubism and the functionalism. Their forms are geometrical and of a big elegance. As time goes by, he will use metal and glass. In 1959, he will be promoted director of the National School of the Decorative Arts in Paris.
