Val Saint-Lambert

Founded in 1825 within the walls of the former Cistercian abbey of Val Saint-Lambert near Liège (Belgium), this crystalware quickly acquired mastery of the manufacture of lead crystal. The beginning of the 20th century marks the apogee of the factory which employs 5000 people and produces ornamental pieces in clear or lined crystal, decorated with complex sizes. The 70's are experiencing a revival of creation with the arrival of Finnish designers such as Nanny Still and Samuel Herman.
