About...

Paul Milet (1870- ??)

Henri Milet (1907-1987)

After training at the laboratory of the Manufacture de Sèvres, he became a good chemist and worked in the factory founded by his father, Félix Optat Milet, in 1866 at Sèvres, close to the famous Manufacture.

At the age of twenty, he gradually succeeded him. Like him, he will continue to benefit from the collaboration of the artists of the MNCS (Manufacture Nationale de Céramique de Sèvres).

Paul Milet worked with his father Optat until 1911, the date of his death, and then with his son Henry, ceramist engineer, who will be appointed director of the plant in 1931, which did not prevent father and son to work closely together.

Henri retired in 1971, when the Milet factory closed after 105 years of activity.
