About...

CHARLES SCHNEIDER (1881-1953)

Master glassmaker, student of Daum in Nancy, he is the creator with his brother Ernest of the biggest European glass factory  in 20's and 30's. Schneider is interested at first in the Art nouveau with objects in molten glass in the Japanese style. Then he becomes the undisputed master of the Art deco glass. His new forms, his colors (mauve, orange, yellow, green) associated with his decorations, transform his creations into outstanding works.
