The Moulded Plywood chairs by Charles Eames

In 1945, Charles Eames, in association with Eero Saarinen and Ray Eames, creates the first chair in plywood LCW ( Lounge Chair Wood)) which will be exhibited at the MOMA in New York and made by the firm Evans from 1946 till 1949. This factory is then taken over by Herman Miller from 1949 till 1957 who creates the other models such as the chair DCW (Dining Chair Wood), and 2 other versions with feet in metal, the chair LCM (Lounge Chair Metal) and the chair DCM (Dining Chair Metal). These chairs are very popular icons and in demand by many collectors today.
