DERVAL Jean (1925-2010)
Trained at the School of Applied Arts in Paris, he discovered ceramics at Pierre Pigaglio. In 1947, he joined R. Capron and Robert Picault in Vallauris, then enters the famous Madura workshop where he made parts for Picasso. In 1951, he founded his own company "Le Portail". His creations are inspired anthropomorphic and zoomorphic cubism and abstraction. Also myths of ancient Greece and religious subjects.
